My name is Mary McIntyre. I am a teacher, mom, and education advocate.

I am running for the Rio District seat on the Albemarle County School Board.

Please vote for me on November 7th, 2017!

I believe Albemarle County Schools have the potential to unlock the best inside every child.  I will bring young energy, fresh ideas, and an experienced teacher's perspective to the important decisions that affect our children every day.

I have a proven track record of community involvement, well-researched decision-making, and the ability to bring people together to work toward a common goal. As an active volunteer I currently serve as a PTO member, Girl Scout leader, and serve on the Together Cville Steering Committee. I have been an Air Force Key Spouse, a Sunday School teacher, and a Dining for Women chapter founder and leader, helping to raise over $5000 for charities that support women and children living in poverty.  Public service is always a part of my life.  I will be a representative who seeks public input and participates in school and community activities beyond board meetings. I am ready to work.
